Accessibility Statement
Gable Digital Solutions, Inc. is committed to making the Backbuild platform accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We believe every user should be able to navigate, understand, and interact with our products effectively, regardless of ability or assistive technology.
Conformance target
We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
WCAG 2.1 Level AA is referenced or incorporated by:
- Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act
- EN 301 549 (European ICT accessibility standard)
- The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
- Numerous other jurisdictional accessibility regulations worldwide
Current status
Our accessibility program is ongoing. The following measures have been taken or are in progress:
Trust site (trust.backbuild.ai)
- Semantic HTML5 landmarks (
<header>,<main>,<nav>,<footer>) on every page - Skip-to-content link for keyboard and screen reader users
- Hierarchical heading structure (h1 through h4)
- Color contrast ratios meeting WCAG 2.1 AA on dark surfaces
- No JavaScript required -- all content is static HTML and CSS
- Responsive design supporting zoom up to 200% without loss of content

Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. The following known limitations are being addressed:
| Area | Limitation | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Mobile app | Some interactive elements lack accessibilityLabel props, reducing screen reader usability | In progress |
| PDF documents | Some downloadable compliance documents may not be fully tagged for assistive technology | In progress |
| Complex data tables | Some project management views with nested tables may not convey relationships to screen readers | In progress |
| Third-party content | Embedded content from third-party integrations may not meet our accessibility standards | Monitoring |
Assessment approach
Gable Digital Solutions, Inc. assesses the accessibility of the Backbuild platform through the following methods:
- Manual testing with keyboard-only navigation
- Screen reader testing (NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, TalkBack on Android)
- Automated scanning with accessibility linting tools during development
- Color contrast verification against WCAG 2.1 AA thresholds
- Review of new features against WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria before release
